Thanksgiving was
a day when Plymouth colonists and Wampanoag Indians shared an autumn harvest
feast in 1961, which today is known as the first Thanksgiving celebrations. In England
thanksgiving was more of a religious event where puritans would pray, fast, and
give thanks to god. In 1777 the congress
declared that all the 13 colonies celebrate a national day of thanksgiving every
year in celebration of the victory towards the British. In 1863 president Abraham
Lincoln declared the last Thursday of November national thanksgiving day. Thanksgiving
brings loved ones together.
