St. Patrick’s Day
1. St. Patrick was a bishop who traveled from town to
town in Ireland, tearing down idols and temples and establishing the Catholic
Church.
2. To celebrate
the Roman Catholic feast day of the patron saint of Ireland and is the day
3. It is designated when it is because that is the day St.
Patrick died.
4. The green is of the Irish flag. The color was
originally blue but was later on changed to green because it seemed more
logical choice when Ireland is known as the emerald isle.
