Our very business in life is not to get ahead of others… but to get ahead of ourselves.”
Thomas S. Monson

This quote to me means that we have to get ahead of ourselves in our life. We shouldn't strive to get ahead of other people but to get ahead of yourself. You shouldn't try to be better than someone else because then you won’t be surpassing them but end up under them. You have to be better than yourself in anything meaning, that you should be doing things to your fullest capacity. You should never give up and keep going and doing well. Our job, like the quote says is not to get ahead of other but get ahead of ourselves. You are better today than yesterday.

“True wealth is of the heart not of the purse.”
Og Mandino

This quote means that money doesn’t make you wealthy. You can have more than a million dollars in your purse and still not be wealthy. Being wealthy is being happy about what is around you and how much you have succeeded. Wealth comes from the heart, not from inside your purse. You have to be happy with you have to be wealthy. Money may not always bring you happiness, it may bring you down and you may struggle more and won’t be wealthy

“Real wealth is not so much what we have as what we are.”

Sterling W. Sill

This quote means that you can be the richest person but wealth  comes from being a good person. People confuse rich with wealth. Having money and being wealthy are two different types of things. Being wealthy is being happy with yourself and being a good person. Money doesn't determine whether you are wealthy. It’s by showing who you are as a person. That is where real wealth comes from. For example, the people with the least amount of money can be the wealthiest people because they are happy with what they have and are grateful. They are also really good and generous people even though they don’t have much to give.  In other words, wealth is not what we have but who we are.

Reflection:

This career does not draw to my attention. I would not want to become an acupuncturist.  This is not something of my interest. I wouldn't want to stick needles into someone else. This job is a bit scary because you are sticking needles into someone and if an accident happens who knows what may happen to the patient. It pays a really good salary but this job is not for me.

" You cannot do wrong and feel right. It is impossible."
Ezra T. Benson

To me this quote means that doing something wrong isn't right. you can't go out and commit a crime and feel right about it. that will be on your conscious for a long time. None has ever done something wrong and felt good about it. they may have felt great at the moment but after a while passes they feel guilty and regret what they have done. You choice whether or not to do wrong. If you do wrong you wont feel right and you will have no one else to blame but yourself. The only thing to do to feel good is to do right.

            $35,970
Education:
To become an acupressurist you have gone through special training. In some states it is required for an aupressurist to be licensed. They have to complete 500 hours of classroom instruction and pass the organization’s exam.
Picture:

Reflection:

Acupressure seems a little interesting to me. I may want to learn bit more about it. It catches my eye because I can help others as well as myself if I become an acupressurist. It is a well-paying job and does not require much to become one. I would want to have this career as a backup if I don’t pursue a career in what I’m really striving for.

Senior!
So last week i started my first week of my Senior year! It was very exciting because i am finally a Senior and i'm a about to finish. I had the first day jitters like everyone does. I like all my classes. My Schedule is:
1. U.S. Government
2. New Media 1A
3. Adv. Band
4. ERWC A
5. Geometry
6. Sports Med.
7. AP Spanish Lit.
8. Tutor
I was surprised that i as put in AP Spanish lit. I've never taken an AP class before s this will be a challenge for me. I like a little challenge. I was kind of sad because the senior from last year wouldn't be returning this year. I had grown some amazing friend ships with most of them. The school feels a little odd to me because they aren't here. Now we are the Seniors and we run this school! Ha ha just kidding. It is a little odd being called a Senior because i am not used to it. When a teacher or an administrator comes on to the intercom or in front of the class and addresses the Seniors I just stare and think "Wait! That's me!" It is a little scary because us the seniors have to set an example for all the incoming fresh-mans. I look at them and think' " wow! 4 years ago i was in their shoes. Scared for my life because i didn't know anyone at the school. I was lost and didn't know how to get around the school. Look at me know! I'm a senior about to finish High School and go off into the real world myself!" It is scary to think about the fact that i'm going to be on my own in about the year. Right now i'm just focusing on passing all my classes and getting the grades in order to graduate. A lot is in store for me this year. I'm excited and ready to give this year my all and make it the best year ever! Class of 2015 Rules!

Education is the latch key to success in life.”
Gordon B. Hinckley

This quote means that education is the way to live a good life. Without education you will not do well in life. I honestly do not agree with this quote because education is not always the key to success in life. Yes, people may argue that one needs education and that one is educated to read and write but I mean this in a way that one does not need education higher than high school graduate. Some of the most powerful and richest people in the business world dropped out of high school. So that goes to show that education isn’t always the latch key to success.  Yes having a degree or showing that you had an education higher than a high school graduate looks good on a resume but it isn’t always effective. In my opinion if someone knows what they’re doing in life then they will succeed one way or another.

“Decisions determine Destiny.”
Thomas S. Monson

This quote to me means that the decisions we make can impact our future. Our decisions do determine our destiny. Depending on what we choose our destiny can change.  If you decide to do bad things then your destiny may be to fail in life and not live up to a certain age. If you decide to make good decisions then you your destiny may turn out good and you will live a long happy life. We are each responsible for our own destiny, you decide what it will be by the decisions you make today.  No one can tell you what your destiny will be. Only you can decide what your destiny will be.
