Final: Part 1
1.    What I liked about this class is that we got the chance to work on the computers. I also liked that we got to learn about different careers.
2.    Some things that I didn’t like were that this class was really repetitive. I wished that we would have learned and did more things than just the sss and medical careers.
3.    Some recommendations I would give to improve this class is to explore a variety of things one can do on the computer rather than just research. All I learned in this class was research. I wish I would have learned a lot more and expanded my knowledge on using a computer.
4.     Most of the time I did do my best in this class. There was a couple of time that I didn’t.
5.    I’m not reading my goals every day. Sometimes my day is so busy that I don’t have time to read them or I forget to.
6.    I am committed to being a CTR person but I have to admit that at times it’s hard to be one that I choose the wrong. I know that it is bad to choose that and i'm going to try my hardest and change my ways

7.    I will remember coming in and greeting Mr.Haymore in the mornings and getting to work on the computer.
The Ultimate Choice
Of all the choices you will ever make, one choice supersedes all others-the ultimate choice. This one choice will help you to always make correct decisions. This one choice, The Ultimate Choice, is your keystone to being the best student and person you can possibly be. This one choice will forever attend you for good more than any other choice. THE ULTIMIATE CHOICE is: To be a CTR person—to Always Choose the Right

The choice you have to make is to become a CTR person, a person who chooses the right thing to do and say. You want to be that person that is doing the right thing and have others acknowledge you for the good things you do. In life there are going to be many obstacles your way but it’s up to you to choose the right path. By choosing the right, it will bring you peace and happiness. Always choose the right in life!

“Success is not an accident. Success is actually a choice. Are the habits you have today on par with the dreams you have tomorrow?”

Alan Stein

This quote means that being successful doesn’t just come to a person. It is a person’s choice. You have to work for it in order to get it. For example, you can’t expect to go from one day to another and graduate. You have to work for that diploma. You have to do everything that there is to do in order to get it. You have to work in order to be successful. Look at your habits today. Are they taking you on the right path that you want to be in? Are they helping you reach your goals? If they are not, then change them in the way that they will help you reach your goals. Make your habits related to your goals in order to reach your goals.

“A man without a goal is like a ship without a rudder.”

Thomas Carlyle

This quote means that you have to have some goals in life. You can’t walk through life and not have any goals. It is impossible not to have any goals. Even the littlest things, which you may not take notice of, are goals. For example, let’s say that you walked to your friend’s house and arrived there. Your goal was to go to your friend’s house. Whatever you want to do or be, you have to set your mind into it. Your goal is to achieve that dream. I wanted to graduate high school and make my mom proud because i'm the first generation here meaning that i'm the first one able to graduate high school. I worked really hard to earn all my credits and now I am 1 week away from actually graduating. Not having goals is like a ship not having a rudder in the way that the goals steer you to where you want to go and what you want to be. The rudder of a ship steers it in the right direction, so your goals should steer you in the right path.

“I would prefer even to fail with honor than win by cheating”

Sophocles
This quote means that you knowing that you did your best but still failed are better than cheating and winning. For example, you have to pass your final in order to pass your class, but you did not have time to study. What would you do? Cheating will get you nowhere. Yes you will pass the class but you won’t know anything and nothing good will come out of it. Now let’s say you took the test, did your best on it but failed, it is by far better than winning by cheating. You proved to yourself and showed yourself that you know what, I should have taken this more serious
Memorial Day
1.     Memorial Day is a day where those who died in active military service are remembered.
2.     The purpose of Memorial Day is to honor all men and women who died during any war or military action.
3.     Memorial Day is on May 25.
4.     A few ways to show honor and respect on Memorial Day is to walk the beaches or taking a short road trip. Many cemeteries have events going on to honor those at their graves site that have fought in the wars. Some amusement parks and tourist attractions let any veterans or anyone still active in the military free admission.
5.

6.     A few things I do to show my respect on memorial day is that I go to the beach and wlk down to where the have all the crosses of those who have served but never cam home. I read some of the stories they have of them and talk to those who have lost someone I  the military. I personally don’t hav anyone that has died tin the military but I am glad that im there to listen to those who may need someone at the moment.

“The most important thing you will ever have is good values.”

Dennis Prager

This quote means that you have to have values in life and that those values should be the most important things in your life. For example, you have to value honest, friendship, relationships, the truth, etc. you have to value them. You cannot let them go to wait and you can’t neglect them and not value them. It is important for you to have them. What are your values in life.

“Nothing is ever gained in doing what’s wrong.”

Wilford Woodruff

There is no benefit from doing what’s wrong. You don’t gain anything from it. For example, you go to a party and there are alcoholic drinks. You drink there and get really drunk. You come home at around midnight and your parents see that you are drunk. They ground you for a month, they are disappointed in you, and you have lost their trust. What did you gain from doing the wrong? Nothing! You didn’t gain anything. The only benefit you will get is when you do the right thing.  Choose the right and you will benefit and gain something.

“The reward for doing right is mostly an internal phenomenon: self-respect, dignity (self-worth), integrity, and self-esteem.”

Dr. Laura Schlessinger

This quote means that by doing the right thing you respect and reward yourself. The biggest reward that you can get is from yourself. For example, doing well in school and finishing all your work on time will give you good grades. When you see those grades you will reward yourself and feel good about yourself. Like the quote says, you will earn “self-respect, dignity (self-worth), integrity, and self-esteem.

It also benefits me because on the website there is information on college. That information may help me in deciding where I want to go and what I need.

3.    I am most likely to use the graduation requirements and the college and career info.

“When a deep injury is done to us, we never recover until we forgive.”

Alan Paton
Forgive: To stop feeling angry or resentful toward someone for an offense, flaw, or mistake

This quote means that your only way to healing when someone has injured you deeply is to forgive them. There is no other cure than that. For example, I have had someone really close to me do me some great harm. I never thought that he would have done something like that to me. I was hurting for a while. I thought I could get over it but I didn't. Every day I was reminded of what happened and had anger towards him. I thought that by being angry and disappointed in him I would feel better but I didn't. I didn't know that I was also hurting myself. It took me a while to figure out that the only way I could cure myself is to forgive him. I forgave him and I was no longer hurting. Yes the memories are still there but what is most important is that we moved on from that and I forgave him. Forgiveness can cure your deepest injuries.

“Dare to stand alone.”

Thomas S. Monson

This quote means that you shouldn't follow those who are doing wrong. It’s better to stand alone then follow those in the wrong footsteps. For example, you hangout out with a group of people and one day they ask you to go and do some drugs with them. You have to turn around and walk the other way. Its better to be by yourself then get yourself in trouble. Sometimes the people you hang out with aren't who you think they are. So stand alone and choose the right.
Blue Devils

The blue devils are a marching band of at least 50 people. The blue devils were founded in 1957 by Ann and Tony Odello.  The blue devils are one of the best bands in the nation. They have been in the top 5 in the past five consecutive years. They won 6 championships in the past year! That’s six out of 12 titles. The blue devils are a big thing. In the world of marching bands, they are celebrity to us. You have to be one of the best in order to be in that team. It is a marching band member’s dream to be in a corps like the blue devils. Their field shows are amazing as well. It is my dream to see them at least once in my lifetime performing live! It does not get better than the blue devils.

“In any moment of decision, the best thing you can do is the right thing.”

Theodore Roosevelt

This quote means that whenever you are making a decision, always make the right decision. For example, you are at a party and there is alcohol and drugs and all your friends are telling you to try some. At that moment you should make the right decision, which is to walk away from the drugs and alcohol and get better friends. Making the right decision will benefit you in the long run. Another example is, you are invited to a party on a Wednesday night and you know that you have a big test the next day at school. You have to choose the right decision, which is to stay in and not go to that party. This will benefit you later because you studied all night and passed the test that you were working on. The best thing you can always do is choose the right. J
Progress Post

I have achieved 37 out of 224 goals since I started my life planning goals. Most of them are short term goals and that’s why I have been able to achieve them. I have many long term goals that are going to take me some time to achieve. In school I am doing really well except in one class. I am really trying my hardest to pass the class because I need it to graduate. Graduation is less than 2 months away and I am very nervous. I’ve done what was needed to be done this year for myself. I kept all my grades up and was able to attend and will be attending the senior activities. I hope that by the end of 2015 I have achieved most of my life planning goals and write in new goals.

“Make each day your masterpiece. You have to apply yourself each day to become a little better, and over a period of time you become a lot better.”

John Wooden, UCLA

This Quote means that you have to apply yourself, as in is who you are each day. Every day you have to put in practice.  For example, you want to be the main dancer for a dance piece at your school. In order to get that part you have to be good. So every day you practice the routine over and over again. As the days go by you will see that you get better and better at it. You will see the results. If you really set your mind to something every day, you will become better at it.

“A promise must never be broken.”

Alexander Hamilton

This quote is pretty straight forward. Whenever you make a promise it must never be broken. For example, if you promise your parents that you will do better in school and pick up your grades, then that’s what you must do and not break that promise you made to them. You have to do whatever it takes to stay with that promise. That is doing the right thing.  Stick to your promise no matter what.

What you see is what you get”
Anonymous
Image
This quote means that if you really strive for something and imagine yourself doing whatever it is then you will get there. For example, if you look in the mirror and see yourself graduating from college then it will happen. You just have to work hard and keep imagining yourself graduating. Like the quote says, what you see is what you get, and it is. You determine what will happen in your future and what you will do in your life. So however you imagine yourself that is how it’s going to be.

“Goodness is the only investment that never fails.”

Henry David Thoreau

This quote means that goodness is the one thing that you will achieve and never fail. For example, if you are helping an elderly person crossing the street, then you are doing goodness and you aren’t failing at it. Doing good is not a hard thing to do. It is very easy for everyone and it is quite impossible to fail at it.

·      Largest Violin
2. Vogtland Masters of Violin and Bow Making
3. June 14, 2010

5. This record fascinates me because I am into music and love instruments! A giant violin is amazing! I never imagined something that big!

6. I wouldn’t want to break a world record because it seems kind of hard and you have to have some sort of talent. Well, maybe a be part of a mass record with a lot of people then I’d probably be up for it. I just wouldn’t do it by myself.
