“It may make a difference to all eternity whether we do right or wrong today.”

James Freeman Clark

This quote means that no matter what you do whether it is wrong or right, it will make a difference for all eternity. For example, you are given the choice to go to college and get a degree or to drop out of high school and look for a job. Either of those decisions will make a difference for eternity. You are in control of that difference, so chose what type of difference it is that you want to make.

Yes I would like to become a firefighter. I like helping people out and this interests me. I don’t really know much about it but I always see them in the streets, at emergency events and doing their job. It is really interesting and it is not an easy job. This is something that I could see myself doing in 2 years or so. That is one of my goals, to become a firefighter or volunteer as one.

“The best way to create your future is to create it.”

Charles Ketterer

This quote means is that you set your future. Based on the decisions you make, you can predict how your future will turn out. For example, if you do well in school, pass all your classes, go on to college and get a degree, you can see that you will have a great future. That’s how you can predict it. No one but yourself can predict your future. You are in charge of it. You are creating it day by day.

·      How?
o  The phrase is attributed to Pope Gregory the Great, who uttered it in the sixth century during a bubonic plague epidemic.

“Ask yourself is it right or wrong and act accordingly”

Otto Graham, Jr.

This quote means that you should act according to what you know. For example, if you are out with your friends at a party and they hand you a drink you what would you do? Well you have to think as to whether or not drinking that alcoholic beverage is right. You know that it is wrong so you act according to it by refusing to take the drink and walking away. You know what is wright and what is wrong so act according to it.

Miles Honorable Moment

A 8 year old boy named miles had found a $20 bill in the parking lot of the restaurant he and his family were about to eat. He returned it to its rightful owner. The owner of the $20 is a solider. Miles returned the $20 with a note on it telling the solider that he reminded him of his dad because his dad was a soldier who is in heaven now. The solider was grateful and thanked the little boy for what he did. It was a great honor for him. The solider kept the note and reads it every day to remind himself of what a great heart people can have. After miles returned the money he went to visit his father at the grave yard by himself and told his dad all about it.

As I was watching the video it made me tear up a little bit because I don’t have my dad with me and it reminded me of him. It also gave me some joy because miles could have wasted the money but, he decided to do the right thing and return it. He has done something great and honorable.

“Associate yourself with men of good quality if you esteem your own reputation; for ‘tis better to be alone than in bad company.”

George Washington
1789-1797

This quote means that you should be around people that will influence you for good. People who are doing good things in life and will make you want to do ass good for them. If you are associating with people who are doing bad and are a bad influence on you, then its time for you to let them go because they will do no good for you. It’s better to be alone then in bad company.

“Right is right only when entire.”

Victor Hugo

This quote means that something is right when the whole thing is right. For example, if you’re taking a test and you don’t know the answer to one of the questions, so you look over to your partners test and steal the answer, than that isn't right. No matter how good you did on it it’s still wrong. On the other hand, if you complete the whole test without cheating and you do good then that is the right because you are doing your best and chose the right!

“In life as in football, you won’t go far, unless you know where the goalposts are.”

Arnold H. Glasgow

This quote means that you have to strive for your goals and know what they are. You can’t score and not know why u scored. You have to set your mind to some goals and want to achieve them. Like in the game of football, you know which goal post is yours, so you do whatever you can to get the ball through that goal and score. The same things apply to life. For example, you want to graduate and walk the stage. That’s your goal, so you are going to do whatever it takes to pass all your classes and meet all the requirements in order to do so. You have to have goals in life and strive to achieve them.

“Only those live who do good.”

Count Leo Tolstoy

This quote means that those who do good are the ones who are living. For example, those who do charity work, help others out, are always doing good, obeying the rules, being obedient, are the ones who are living because they are living with good in their hearts.
