IDP Summary
The people in my group were Josue Arrivillaga, Victoria Salazar, Jose Jimenez, and Jamie Gonzales. Our topic was birth control.  From the beginning knew that two of the people in my group were going to be trouble. I don’t want to point them out because I am not like that. They never showed up. This project was really stressful especially for me. Everything was basically on my shoulders. I had to do most of the project on my own along with another person in my group because no one was helping me out.  He and I spent restless nights working on the project. We searched and searched on our topic but at times it seemed like we couldn’t find anything. We had to change our position on the policy 3 times. That was really stressful. We kept asking for feedback from many teachers and each teacher would tell us that the other way would be easier on us. So we decided on changing it. We ended up going for it. Another person from our group member decided to help out. Her participation on working on the project really relieved us from some stress.

The power point was a little difficult because we needed everyone’s part which we never received, so it was up to me and my partner to take matters into our own hands.  We spent almost 2 weeks working on the PowerPoint, which came out really good. 3 days before presenting 1 other person from our group decided to show up. This changed everything for us. We had everyone’s role done, knew who was going to say what slide and what they were going to say. Now that he had deceived 2 days before to come back really took us out of surprised. My stress meter had surpassed the roof. He had to know everything from the beginning. We spent a whole day trying to explain everything to him which didn’t work. He just didn’t understand. We explained it as simple as possible. He was just not paying attention. We had no choice but to give him a role. I knew that he wasn’t going to do well which really frustrated me. I had worked my but off for a month and for him to mess it up was not on my list.

The day of to present had come and we were all a nervous wreck. We rehearsed our parts over and over until we memorized it. We didn’t present until 6:30pm. So that gave us enough time. When they called our group in I thought that I was going to faint. My mother was running late and I didn’t know if she was going to make on time or not. She walked in just in time. We went in and started our presentation. It started off a little rough because that guy that came in at the last minute messed up. The rest of my group did really well and we were able to answer any questions people had. After it was over, I was relieved I thought that I was going to cry cause we did really good. All my hard work had paid off… Hopefully. I don’t know my score yet but I hope to know what my group got soon.
“When I do good, I feel good. When I do bad I feel bad.”

Abraham Lincoln

This quote means that when you do good you will feel good. It gives you peace when you know that you have done good. When you do something wrong it is on your conscious that you have done something bad. For example, if you help an elder cross the street or help them by carrying their groceries to their car, you will feel good about what you did and know that you did something good. On the other hand, if you steal from someone, you will feel bad that you did something wrong. It will be on your conscious and you won’t be able to get that feeling out because you know that you have done something wrong.

“We need the courage to start and continue what we should do, and the courage to stop what we shouldn’t do.”

Richard L. Evans

We need to push each other to keep gong and continue what we started. If that person is doing the right thing we should encourage them to keep going until they finish. If the person is doing the wrong thing, we should be good friends and tell them to stop because whatever they are doing wrong will get them into trouble. We should always choose the right and do the right thing.

“Always do right.”

Mark Twain

You should always do right no matter what. It will benefit you in the long run. Doing right is easier than doing wrong. Doing wrong will lead you down the wrong path. For example, if you had to choose between going out to a party that your parents prohibited you rather than staying home and studying, what would be the right thing to do? The easier and right thing to do, would be to stay home and studying because you will be doing the right and won’t get in trouble. We should always choose the right!

WHEN YOU TELL ONE LIE IT LEADS TO ANOTHER
Paul Hatch
When you tell one lie, it leads to another
So you tell two lies to cover each other
Then you tell three lies and, oh brother,
You’re in trouble up to your ears!
So you tell four lies to try to protect you
Then you tell five lies so folks won’t suspect
you
Then you tell six lies and you’ll collect
A life filled with worries and fears
‘Cause you can’t remember how many lies
you've told
And half the things you say aren't true
And sometimes you’ll slip, you’ll trip up
and then
Whatever will become of you?
So you lie without even trying
And each lie you tell will keep
 multiplying
‘Till the whole wide world will know
your lying
Then you’ll be
Suspected
Detected
Rejected
Neglected
Disliked
And you should!
When you lie, you’re closing the door
On everything good

“When you tell one lie, it leads to another”

Paul Hatch

This quote means that once you tell a lie. You will keep on telling them. One lie leads to another and another and another. It’s like an addiction. Once you get hitched on it you can’t stop. It’s a bad habit and can’t get you in some deep trouble and destroy some relationships. No one likes a liar. When you lie constantly people will not believe you when you are telling the truth. They will think that you are lying to them again and simply ignore you. Yes we all lie, there’s no doubt about that, but we shouldn’t lie to the point that it is something that we do constantly. You should always speak the truth no matter what.

1.   Can people trust me to do what’s right?
2.   Am I committing to doing my very best?
3.   Do I treat people the way I want to be treated?
“If the answers to these questions are YES, there is no way you can fail.”

Lou Holtz

This quote means that if you answer yes to all the questions there is no doubt that you will not fail. You will do great things in life. Trusting, committing and treating people the way you want to be treated is the best thing you can do. That shows that you are a good person and live up to your standards and maybe even their standards. Every day you should reflect the questions on yourself and see if you will answer yes. If you answer no then think about what you did wrong and try to change it so that next time the answer to that question is YES!

“Physical fitness is not only one of the most important keys to a healthy body; it is the basis of dynamic and creative intellectual activity. The relationship between the soundness of the body and the activities of the mind is subtle and complex. Much is not yet understood. But we do know what the Greeks knew: the intelligence and skill can only function at the peak of their capacity when the body is healthy and strong.”

President John f. kennedy

This quote means that you have to be physically fit in order for your creativity and mind to function at its best. You have to be health and strong to make good decisions. That is when you can use your mental and physical skills at its best.
