This quote means that if you do things right you will have more freedom. For examples, with our parents in order to go out with friends or do something that we want to do and be given our freedom we have to be obedient to them and do as we are told. We have to obey the laws. If we do well, then we will get rewarded and given the freedom we deserve.  You have to earn your freedom and the only way to get it is to be obedient. The more and more obedient you are, the more freedom you will have to enjoy.
