This quote means that something is right when the whole thing is right. For example, if you’re taking a test and you don’t know the answer to one of the questions, so you look over to your partners test and steal the answer, than that isn't right. No matter how good you did on it it’s still wrong. On the other hand, if you complete the whole test without cheating and you do good then that is the right because you are doing your best and chose the right!
